Stonewall Foundation-colorThe Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF) has been awarded funding from the locally-based Stonewall Foundation to support the Thornhill Lopez Center on 4th– A SAAF Place for Youth. This annual funding is in perpetuity and will help fund renovations at the Center in the initial year of funding while establishing and growing the Stonewall Foundation Endowment Fund for the Thornhill Lopez Center on 4th in all subsequent years. This gift commitment brings the campaign to raise funds for the Center to $1.855 million.
SAAF Executive Director Wendell Hicks stated, “We are incredibly thankful to the Stonewall Foundation and the Small family for their vote of confidence in the work we do. Ongoing, sustainable funding is essential for a non-profit organization like ours and through their gifts, the Stonewall Foundation is creating and ensuring the longevity of the Thornhill Lopez Center on 4th”.
Fundraising efforts for the Thornhill Lopez Center on 4th will continue through the summer until the $2 million goal is achieved. Renovations on the Center will begin in May with the goal of opening in September.
