What services can I receive?

Family planning services include the following:

• Providing contraception to help women and men plan and space births, prevent unintended pregnancies, and reduce the number of abortions

• Offering pregnancy testing and counseling

• Helping clients who want to conceive

• Providing basic infertility services

• Providing preconception health services to improve infant and maternal outcomes and improve women’s and men’s health

• Providing sexually transmitted disease (STD) screening and treatment services to prevent tubal infertility and improve the health of women, men, and infants.

Additional services for Women, Males and Teens

• Birth control methods – Birth Control Pills, Diaphragm, Intrauterine De-vice (IUD), Depo Provera Shot (DEPO), Implants, Condoms, NuvaRing and Cycle Beads (Natural Family Planning) including vasectomy (male sterili-zation)

• Emergency contraceptive pills – Emergency contraceptive pills (ECPs) also known as the morning after pill) are available at our offices. If taken within 72 – 120 hours of unprotected sex (a condom breaks,, no condom was used, pills are forgotten), they can greatly reduce the risk of pregnancy.

• Pregnancy testing and counseling

• Breast exams – If abnormalities are detected, referrals are given to the Well Woman HealthCheck program. Referrals are given to adolescents over age 18.

• Examinations – Pelvic and/or pap tests as needed.

• Abnormal Pap smear treatment – If the results of your Pap Smear are abnormal, we will refer you to their Colposcopy Clinic or suggest a treat-ment plan according to your needs.

• Sexually transmitted infection education, testing and treatment; many STIs have no symptoms

• Counseling and education – We want to give you all the information you need to make educated and healthy choices in planning a family.

• Condom supplies and information on the correct use of condoms

• Information and counseling about testicular cancer and prostate health (for men)

Well Woman HealthCheck services include the following:

• Screening and Diagnostic Services

• Clinical Breast Exams and Mammograms

• Pelvic and Pap Exams

• HPV Testing

• Colposcopy and LEEP (loop electrosurgical excision procedure)


How much will it cost?

Fees are on a sliding scale based on income, but no one is refused service because of inability to pay. Insurance is accepted.

All services through Well Woman HealthCheck are free of charge if the patient meets all eligibility requirements.


Do they bill my insurance/what will my parents see?

 Insurance is accepted.
