IDEA: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility
For over 25 years SAAF has supported and advocated for the health and wellbeing of those living with HIV, LGBTQ+ individuals, and communities marginalized by society. We know that a healthy, equitable, and stigma-free community starts internally; it starts with us.
The SAAF IDEA committee is dedicated to celebrating the ways SAAF culture empowers authenticity and will foster an atmosphere that is committed to inclusivity and learning. We invite you to join us on that mission.
SAAF's 5 Year Plan
In 2021 a 5 year plan was created wherein SAAF will be committed to the following work internally to ensure we are able to fully realize our goal of a healthy, equitable, stigma-free community.
Hiring and working with consultants to pinpoint internal challenges and create learning opportunities
Commitment to collaborating with and elevating community partners who are also committed to the IDEA mission.
Creating space to encourage and explore staff feedback.
Bi-monthly speakers from the community, Staff “library” with IDEA themed educational materials, trainings on pertinent topics
